Cascade Playground
Cascade Playground activation and events are sponsored by a Parks Department grant managed by the YMCA. A Friends of Cascade Committee made up of neighbors, small business owners, non-profits, and community leaders meets monthly to reach consensus.
All programming is free to the public, and encourages access to the outdoors and community engagement through free activities, with a focus on increased access to art, music, culture, youth and family activities, health and fitness, sustainability and community building.
Events & Activation
Our park activation model offers free and inclusive events, dedicated staffing, regular programming, and investment in colorful park amenities to foster community engagement. While all classes, events and equipment are free to the public, we are able to pay instructors, artists, performers, and other vendors through our grant funding and private donations.
